Ginny Caggiano
Founder/Principal

Ginny has developed and written creative marketing and communications campaigns for 20 years, having completed countless projects for clients across a wide range of industries—from financial services and higher education to retail and healthcare. She has led large-scale rebranding efforts, developed off-the-shelf campaigns, written oodles of custom materials, and mastered the art of storytelling through words. Her client list is extensive—including Harvard Law School, Merrimack College, Lincoln Financial Group, Harvard Business School, Northeastern University, Dana-Farber, and Babson College, to name a few.

She is adept at taking complex information and distilling it into succinct and persuasive messages that resonate with the target audiences. To that end, her projects have been awarded dozens of PSCA, Business Marketing Association, Eddy, and Bell Ringer awards.

Before founding Crackerjack, Ginny served as Director of Marketing for Integral, Inc. (now Analysis Group), a management consulting firm founded by the former Dean of Harvard Business School, and as Vice President of Marketing for an investment bank. A self-proclaimed spelling ninja, Ginny is obsessed with taglines and word games. She also has a well-documented addiction to candy, handbags, and reality-show singing competitions. She holds a degree in Marketing and Communications from Babson College.

Cynthia Chappell Deal
Communication Strategist

Cynthia develops strategic, results-driven communication and education solutions. Throughout her 20+ year career, she has created multi-media communication campaigns that help companies in the financial, retail, media and educational fields achieve their business goals.

A self-proclaimed “type A,” Cynthia will stop at nothing to make sure every project is done on time and on budget. And, she thinks it’s not only important to create great work, but to also have a little fun along the way. Her projects have won numerous awards, including several PSCAs, a Bellringer, a couple of Eddys and a local Emmy.

Cynthia holds a Master’s Degree in Business Communications from Emerson College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Allegheny College. She started her career as a television producer in the Boston and Chicago markets. When she’s not working, Cynthia can be found cheering for her kids, reading a book, or dreaming about her next great vacation.

Jack Cheng
Copywriter/Project Manager

Jack combines the anal-retentiveness of a lapsed academic with the casual voice of a blogger, flavored with the unavoidable self-deprecation of a father of teenagers.

As a freelancer, Jack wrote websites for PBS, edited college entrance essays and Ph.D. dissertations, and published essays and reported pieces in The New York Times, Boston Globe, Orion Magazine, and Writer’s Digest. He recently compiled and published an oral history about an intergenerational community chorus.

Jack got well-rounded at Columbia University and went deep with a Ph.D. in art history at Harvard. In addition to teaching art history in the Clemente Course in the Humanities in Boston, Jack has worked as an archaeologist at multiple sites in Turkey, Syria, and Sudan, and he enjoys playing music with his band, The Porch Rockers.

EJ Shin
Senior Graphic Designer & Illustrator

EJ is our wickedly talented graphic designer, illustrator, and resident Adobe Suite expert. Whether bringing to life a gorgeous brochure or eye-catching event mailer, she thrives on infusing client projects with new creative life.

After working in the newspaper and magazine biz in her home state of Georgia, EJ packed her bags and moved to Boston to design for the New England Aquarium. After 15 years of creating exhibit graphics, print collateral, and more (featuring everyone’s favorite penguins and sea lions, of course), she found her way to Team Crackerjack, where she continues to wow clients with her dazzling illustration skills and eye for color.

EJ holds a BA in graphic design from the University of Georgia. Outside the office, she is obsessed with perfecting her famous waffle recipe and designing show-stopping Halloween costumes for her two daughters.

Kathryn Mariano
Design Lead

As our resident design diva, Kathryn looks for any excuse to dazzle you with eye-catching icons, bold typography, and bright colors. Self-motivated, organized, and incapable of procrastination, Kathryn is as quick as she is creative.

Prior to joining the Crackerjack team, Kathryn worked as a graphic designer at MEDITECH, and communications specialist at Boston University School of Medicine. She holds a BA in Digital Design from Merrimack College (Go, Warriors!) and a Master’s in Advertising from Boston University.

When she’s not designing things, Kathryn is probably shopping for things she doesn’t need, watching British crime miniseries at an alarming pace, hunting down the cutest-ever office supplies, or finding easy Pinterest recipes to mess up.

Doug Baulf
Copy Manager & Senior Copywriter

Fun fact: Doug auditioned for the starring role in the first Harry Potter movie (yes, really!). And while his dream of heading to Hogwarts didn’t pan out, he discovered his knack for making magic with words. And the rest, as they say, is history.

In his quest to help clients bring their stories to life, Doug has written about everything from higher education to software to men’s fashion. He’s also penned eBooks, infographics, ad campaigns, and everything in between. His goal? To craft killer copy that makes even the most complex (and, well, dry) topics accessible and engaging.

Doug holds a B.A. in American and English Literature from the University of East Anglia and an M.A. in English Language and Literature from Clark University. In his spare time, you can find him binging British soap operas, browsing his favorite news apps, or sitting at the bar, sipping craft IPAs.

Eliza Domingo-Sutcliffe
Creative Director/Senior Project Manager

In high school, Eliza reluctantly accepted the award for “most likely to succeed” (she had her heart set on winning “class clown” instead). But her classmates were definitely onto something. Over two-decades, Eliza has built a highly accomplished career in the creative sector of the nonprofit industry, bringing her vision for brand excellence to leading organizations across the arts, higher education, government, and human services.

Before joining team Crackerjack, Eliza served as Senior Creative and Brand Manager at The Greater Boston Food Bank. Prior to that, she worked in the administrations of Mayors David Cicilline and Angel Taveras in Providence, and played an instrumental role in the rebranding of the city as “The Creative Capital.” A self-proclaimed workflow nerd, Eliza approaches her assignments with an eagle-eyed attention to detail and is renowned for her impeccable time management skills.

She holds a B.A. in Visual Arts from Brown University, and also studied in the RISD Graphic Design Program. In her free time, you can find Eliza scouring the aisles of independent bookstores, or cooking delicious pescatarian or plant-based meals at home (with a little help from her favorite YouTube tutorials).

Jordan Hass
Project Manager/Digital Specialist

A true jack of all trades, Jordan has professional experience in fields as diverse as theater, residential remodeling, and law. He earned his office management chops as a Legal Administrative Assistant at Clark + Elbing, a Boston-based biotech/pharmaceutical patent law firm, where he notably helped file the patent application for the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

A graduate of UMass Amherst with a B.A. in Theater, and winner of the UMass Chancellor’s Award for the Arts, Jordan is passionate about bringing stories to life on stage. His credits include sound designing productions of Dead Man’s Cell Phone and Love and Information, and stage-managing renditions of Othello and We Are Proud to Present—helping take the latter to the world-renowned Grahamstown National Arts Festival in South Africa.

A native of Florida, Jordan has called the Bay State home since 2005. In his spare time, he loves rock climbing, reading historical fiction, and doting on his beloved cat, Ahsoka (named after Star Wars’ Ahsoka Tano!).

Nicole Dassau
Senior Project Manager

Nicole’s Type A(wesome) personality keeps the Crackerjack team organized, optimized, and on schedule. As a marketing marvel who harnesses her superpowers for good, she once hosted an event with the New England Patriots and raised $25k for hurricane disaster relief.

Prior to making magic at Crackerjack, Nicole worked in higher education as the Marketing Operations Manager at Suffolk University. She’s held positions in the fitness and financial services industries, bringing a valuable mix of experience and a unique perspective to our team.

Did we mention that Nicole is a smart cookie? She holds a B.S. in Business Management and Marketing from Bridgewater State University, an M.S. in Marketing from Suffolk University, and an M.B.A. from Suffolk University. When she needs to give her brain a rest, you can find her flexing at the gym, grooving in a hip-hop spin class, or scoping out the latest bargains at TJ Maxx and Target. Emilee Aswad
Office Manager/Administrative Assistant

A lifelong dancer, Emilee keeps us all in sync by choreographing the inner workings of the Crackerjack office. She perfected the art of organization in college, flawlessly juggling her busy schedule through hard work, sheer tenacity—and a passionate love affair with Google Calendar.

Emilee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Merrimack College, where she was a member of the Merrimack dance team, helped lead the school’s Relay For Life events, and mentored first-year students through Merrimack’s Promise Program. She also worked weekends at a local restaurant.

In her free time, Emilee loves to go on walks, work out at Orangetheory Fitness, head to the beach, and spend time with her boyfriend, friends, and family. She comes from a long line of Disney lovers and has been to Walt Disney World SEVENTEEN times! Her favorite park at WDW is the Magic Kingdom, and while Dole Whips and turkey legs are among Disney’s most iconic snacks, Emilee is all about the Mickey Waffles.

Lisa Gaskill
Senior Copywriter

Who loves big ideas and cares about teeny tiny details? Lisa does. For more than a decade, Lisa has concepted, written, and executed marketing and advertising campaigns for companies in a variety of industries. From a series of print ads for a financial institution to an online video for a local charity, she is well versed in communicating on behalf of commercial and non-profit clients alike. Lisa’s way with words and “can-do” spirit make her a natural fit for Team Crackerjack.

When Lisa’s not writing, she’s reading. When she’s not reading, she’s talking (rather quickly). And when she’s not talking, she’s probably out of breath on the treadmill, on a yoga mat, or on a hiking trail. Lisa graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston University with a B.S. in Journalism and a minor in Anthropology.

Sonia Richter
Copywriter

Originally from Providence, Rhode Island, Sonia came to Greater Boston for the schools—and stayed for the food (two words for you: Dumpling. Kingdom.) Passionate about crafting catchy copy, her wide-ranging portfolio includes everything from restaurant reviews to advice columns to an 80-page thesis about early 20th-century literature.

Sonia honed her writing skills in academia, earning a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from Tufts University. She also spent a year across the pond at the University of Oxford and fell deeply in love—with beans on toast. In school, she played rugby, rowed crew, and wrote for every student publication that would take her. Lucky for us, she also fell in love with writing headlines, social media posts, and copy that packs a Gen-Z punch.

When Sonia’s not writing away or wearing too much yellow, you can find her surfing through thrift shops and bookstores, fiddling with her 80s typewriter, or cooking with the help of her best mate, Trader Joe.

Hailey Joseph
Junior Graphic Designer

Say HEYYY to Hailey! She’s a Natick native (say that three times fast) with a creative brain, an eye for design, and a can-do attitude. After learning the agency ropes as a studio artist intern at Allen & Gerritsen, Hailey was ready to level up and joined our team. And given her penchant for the color orange, a career at Crackerjack may have been written in the stars.

Exhibit A: She graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in advertising. The school’s color? Orange. The name of their sports teams? The Orange. Their mascot? Yep, you guessed it. A banana. (Kidding. It’s an orange.) Exhibit B: Now she works at Crackerjack where vibrant orange is our total vibe—we even painted our office walls orange.

Hailey doesn’t just create beautiful designs—she lives a beautiful life. She’s traveled to 20 countries (and counting!) and studied abroad in Florence, Italy. A former competitive dancer, she gets her boost of endorphins by going to spin class and rocking out to her favorite band, The Beatles. She also loves hanging out with her adopted Lhasa Apso, Sammy, who was a show dog in his former life. His show days are over, but he still struts his stuff on Instagram for his adoring fans, @slama_gram.

Wenni Wang
Interactive Marketer/Web Developer

Wenni’s got a thing for the web—that is, a passion for building high-performing websites that meet (and usually exceed) clients’ specifications, and for fixing wonky web issues—quickly diagnosing and fixing broken pages, functions, and features. Going far beyond the initial request, Wenni uses her highly refined marketing skills to bring new ideas to the table that improve the user experience and make it easier for clients to manage sites on their own, once the project is complete.

Her passion for creating great websites is only matched by one thing: her love for dogs—currently a Great Dane named Mila. Her dogs are her constant companions, at home and on the road. In fact, one of her dogs was so beloved, that even Steven Tyler wanted to hang with her.

Catching a glimpse of Wenni on camera is like spotting a unicorn—rare and magical. Yet she comes to every client meeting with her warm personality, creative ideas, and technical expertise—quickly becoming a trusted source of truth for all things digital.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in social psychology from UMass Boston and is fluent in Mandarin.

Lilah
Director of Going Outside

Our resident “cheerer upper,” little Lilah is bursting with energy and affection. Already an expert “fetcher,” she enjoys bringing (to anyone who asks) all varieties of sticks, leaves, rocks, and newspapers.
